While geraniums (Pelargonium spp. and hybrids) are in bloom, pluck a few petals from each plant and head to the hardware store. Find a paint color swatch to match each flower’s hue. When you overwinter your plants, store the swatch with its matching plant so you can plan next year’s combos before blooms appear.
